HUDA City Centre to Cyber City: Rapid Metro Route, Timings and 2026 Impact
The two-leg metro journey from HUDA City Centre to Cyber City runs 30 to 40 minutes via Sikanderpur, and in 2026 it anchors Gurgaon's most reliable commute premium.
The HUDA City Centre to Cyber City run is a two-leg journey on the Delhi Metro Yellow Line and the Rapid Metro Gurgaon, interchanged at Sikanderpur, and the full trip takes 30 to 40 minutes on most days. In 2026 it remains the single most important commute corridor in Gurgaon, pricing-wise, because walk-to-metro addresses in DLF Phase 2, Phase 5 and the Cyber City belt sit at a measurable premium to otherwise comparable stock a kilometre away.
The journey begins at HUDA City Centre, the southern terminus of the Yellow Line. From there you board a Delhi Metro train heading toward Samaypur Badli and ride through IFFCO Chowk, MG Road, Sikanderpur and Guru Dronacharya before the line crosses into Delhi. You get off at Sikanderpur, switch platforms, and board the Rapid Metro loop. The Rapid Metro stops at Phase 2, Belvedere Towers, Cyber City, Moulsari Avenue, Phase 3 and Phase 1 on its main northern loop, and the southern extension adds Sector 42-43, Sector 54 Chowk and Sector 55-56. For most office traffic bound for Cyber City proper, Cyber City or Moulsari Avenue is the final stop.
First trains on the Yellow Line pull out of HUDA City Centre around 5:30 AM on weekdays and 6:00 AM on Sundays, and the last service leaves close to 11:00 PM. The Rapid Metro mirrors a similar window, with headways of 4 to 10 minutes depending on time of day. During peak office hours of 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, you will rarely wait more than four minutes on either leg. The two systems share a single schedule logic now that DMRC manages Rapid Metro operations, so missed connections at Sikanderpur are rare in practice.
Sikanderpur is the only interchange between the two systems and it is physically integrated, so you do not exit the paid area to switch. Your DMRC smart card works end-to-end and fares combine automatically. The under-construction Gurugram Metro project, approved by the Union Cabinet in 2024, will eventually weave in another interchange near Moulsari Avenue toward the Dwarka Expressway side, and DMRC's broader Phase 4 and Dwarka extension work is set to link the Yellow Line more tightly with Dwarka and Palam. Until those lines open, Sikanderpur stays the pivot of the entire Gurgaon network.
In the real world, HUDA City Centre to Cyber City takes about 30 minutes platform-to-platform in off-peak hours and 35 to 40 minutes during the morning rush, counting the Sikanderpur transfer. Compare that to a cab on NH-48 and Golf Course Road at 9:15 AM: 45 to 70 minutes is a normal range, and on an AQI-heavy winter day, two hours is not unusual. The metro's indoor, air-conditioned ride is now itself a selling point in post-2020 Gurgaon, and it shows up in rental conversations more than any other infrastructure factor.
Addresses within 500 metres of a Rapid Metro station carry a visible premium that has held through every rate cycle since the line opened. In DLF Phase 2 and the Sector 25 pocket near Phase 2 station, builder floors trade in the 4 to 7.5 Cr band for 3 and 4 BHKs, with the walk-to-metro streets at the top of that range. DLF Phase 5 rentals on Golf Course Road rise 15 to 25 percent above comparable Sohna Road stock, in part because Sikanderpur and Phase 3 feed daily into Cyber City. Cyber City rentals themselves, meaning the small residential inventory tucked around Moulsari Avenue and the Phase 3 pocket, command the highest psf rents in all of Gurgaon.
The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation is executing a 28.5 km Gurugram Metro corridor that will loop Sector 56 to Cyber City via Sector 9, Palam Vihar and the Udyog Vihar belt, with an interchange tying it back to the Rapid Metro at Moulsari Avenue. Civil work started in 2024 and target completion sits in the 2027 to 2028 window. Separately, DMRC's Dwarka extension and the proposed line toward IGI Airport will pull Dwarka Expressway stock into the metro map for the first time, which should narrow the walk-to-metro premium gap over the next cycle. For buyers on New Gurgaon, that single development is likely to be the biggest pricing trigger of the decade.
Last-mile is where the Rapid Metro quietly outperforms every other corridor. From Cyber City station a shaded skywalk feeds directly into DLF Building 10, 9 and the Phase 3 towers. Moulsari Avenue serves Horizon Centre and Belvedere Tower. Phase 2 station on the main loop drops you into DLF Phase 2 directly, and the walk to Qutub Plaza takes under eight minutes. For stations without immediate office access, like Belvedere Towers or Phase 1, Rapido autos, Uber Shuttle and the DMRC's own last-mile EV fleet pick up every two to three minutes during peak. Golf Course Road buyers typically pair a Rapid Metro commute with a quick ride-hail from Sector 42-43 or Sector 54 Chowk station.
Our view at Optimal Realty is simple. If your workplace is Cyber City, DLF Phase 3 or Udyog Vihar, prioritise an address on the Rapid Metro corridor over a cheaper one off it. The time saved compounds, the AQI protection is real, and the resale market for metro-walkable addresses has stayed firm through every down cycle Gurgaon has seen since 2017.
